A rota that refuses an unqualified crew
You cannot put somebody on a shift they are not qualified to work, and you find out when you try rather than when the state audits you. Checked against the day the shift ends, not today: a card expiring on the 14th does not crew the 15th. A service short-handed at 2am can still override it, by recording why, against their own name.
Everything EZ Recert does
The same certificate reading, the same category split, the same review queue and the same state forms. Agency OS is a superset rather than a sibling: nothing you already rely on changes, and nothing has to be migrated.

Every rig, and what it owes
Call signs, registrations and inspections with their own expiry reminders. A pre-trip check that opens a ticket for whatever it finds and writes the mileage through in the same go. Service intervals in miles, engine hours or months, and a sweep each morning that says what is due.
A record for people with no account
Somebody can be on the roster before they can log in. Their documents are filed against that record and follow them when they are invited later, rather than being re-uploaded by whoever notices.
Expiries you find before the state does
Driving licenses, immunizations, background checks: whatever your service has to hold. Each type has its own window, and the reminders go out on it rather than on somebody remembering.
Who is required to hold what
A requirement is set once for a role and applies to everybody in it, so the compliance grid answers "who is short" without anybody keeping a second list in a spreadsheet.
What it is not
The things it would be easy to leave for you to find out later.
- EZ Rota plans shifts. It does not record what was worked.
- No time clock, no hours worked, no payroll. A shift on the rota is a plan; what actually happened is a different fact with different legal weight, and your service already has somewhere it goes.
- Nothing assigns anybody automatically.
- On EZ Rota, people claim open shifts and hand them to each other; there is no solver. An optimizer that produces a rota nobody agrees with is a feature that gets switched off in week two.
- A seat is charged for every person on the roster.
- That is the difference from EZ Recert, and it is charged in addition to the per-recertification fee rather than instead of it, including for the people who never recertify, because they are the ones this exists for. EZ Rota is a seat of its own on top; EZ Fleet is one flat charge a month, however many rigs you run.
- It is New York State only.
- The CME categories, the recertification forms and the reimbursement voucher are the state’s. Nothing here is written for another one.
